About Timetap
Timetap is made in Norway for small workplaces that want to keep track of hours without a spreadsheet, a subscription or someone else's cloud.
Who makes it
Jon-André & Claude. Jon-André designs Timetap, tests it and decides what it does. Claude, Anthropic's AI, writes much of the code with him. We say so plainly, because it's how Timetap is made.
Jon-André is the person responsible for Timetap, the iPhone app and this website. You can reach him at contact@timetap.no.
Free and open
- The server is free: the web page, the readers' software, and every feature of both editions.
- The iPhone app is paid, with a one-time price in the App Store. It's in testing now.
- Everything except the iPhone app will be open source - the server, the web page, the reader software and the address service. The code is coming to GitHub. Until then, the signed releases and the guides are at github.com/Bouncelight/timetap-releases.
What we care about
- Your hours stay with you. Timetap runs on your own network. We never see your data.
- Fair to everyone. People see their own hours, and only they can change their times.
- Plain and calm. Simple words, no clutter, and explanations behind a small "?" when you want them.
